BOE Meetings Location Update

Regular Board of Education meetings will be held in Cafeteria B at Westfield High School for the foreseeable future, beginning at 7 p.m. unless otherwise specified. Please enter at the door in the back parking lot. All attendees are required to wear masks.

Welcome Back!

Students received an enthusiastic welcome back from administrators, teachers, and staff as Westfield Public Schools kicked off the 2021-2022 school year on September 9.

Welcome back, Staff!

Superintendent Dr. Raymond González welcomed back staff on Wednesday, Sept. 1 as the Westfield Public School District prepared for the return of students on Thursday, Sept. 9. During two opening day ceremonies for elementary and secondary educators, González -- who joined the district on Aug. 2 -- welcomed 42 new staff members and applauded the teachers and staff gathered in the Westfield High School auditorium for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their students throughout the pandemic.

A Safe Return to School - 2021-2022

Playground Mosaic at Lincoln

Lincoln students created a beautiful mosaic under the direction of art teacher Amy Hynes. Spelled out within the vibrant colors is the message: "Whatever you are, be a good one."

Making Virtual Music

In a normal school year, the winter and spring calendars are filled with musical concerts, as student voices and instruments ring out in joyous acknowledgement of the seasons. This is not a normal year but, despite the pandemic, students and their instructors have found ways to share their music, going to great lengths to learn new technologies and create virtual ensembles that showcase their considerable talent.
